The lead plaintiff in a proposed leaky sunroof class-action has requested a voluntary dismissal of the entire case, without prejudice. This is New Jersey we're talking about here, so it's not out of bounds to think the plaintiff was told "that's a nice car you've got there, it'd be a shame if something happened to it." Or maybe they just a free fix under the table and that was good enough for them.

It's not over though ∞

  • But fear not, Volkswagen Group is far from out of the woods. Luckily there are at least two other cases seeking similar compensation.
