Audi Recalls 46,000 Vehicles With Potentially Misaligned Rear Axles

There's growing concern that more than 46,000 Audi vehicles can end up with misaligned rear axles. The automaker recalled the vehicles after discovering a certain batch of lock nuts on the axle's trailing arm are more suceptible to snap because of corrosion.

About Audi's Rear Axle Recall

  • The issue affects over 35,600 vehicles in the US and roughly 5,400 in Canada.
  • If your car is from the 2019-2021 model years there's a good chance it's been recalled, but check the full list of recalled models to make sure.
  • Audi says the recall (#42L1) should start on June 25th, 2021.
